The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is issuing a public health alert for ready-to-eat (RTE) product labeled as birria-inspired beef soup due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The product labeled as birria-inspired beef soup may actually contain plant-based chicken noodle soup, which contains sesame, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label. 

Wayne Farms, LLC, a Decatur, Ala. establishment, is recalling approximately 1,377 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) chicken breast products that may be undercooked.

Garland Ventures, a Garland, Texas, establishment, is recalling approximately 13,842 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) chicken fried rice products that may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Pelleh Poultry Corp., a Swan Lake, N.Y. establishment, is recalling approximately 708 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) beef and poultry products that may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Quality Food World Pty Ltd is conducting a recall of Greek Tzatziki. The product has been available for sale at independent retailers including IGA in NSW, QLD, TAS, SA, WA. It has been available for sale at Coles Local and independent retailers including IGA in VIC. The recall is due to non compliant labelling as the product states dairy free on the lid, however milk is included in the ingredients list and product.
