CERTAIN GOYA BRAND FROZEN MAMEY PULP MAY CONTAIN SALMONELLA BACTERIA

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning consumers not to consume the Goya brand Fruta Mamey Pulp described below as it may be contaminated with Salmonella. The CFIA has been informed of a recall of the Goya brand Fruta Mamey Pulp in the United States. The affected product, Goya brand Fruta Mamey Pulp, manufactured in Guatemala, was sold frozen in 397 g packages bearing UPC 0 41331 09080 3. All lot codes are affected. This product is known to have been distributed in Quebec; however, it may also have been sold nationally. There have been no reported illnesses in Canada associated with the consumption of this product.
