Manning Impex is recalling Leslie's Clover Chips Barbecue flavour because of cross-contamination with milk. Cross-contamination means that the product contains milk, which is not mentioned on the ingredients list. This week there has been concern raised over fraudulent activity with regard to meat fraud in Belgium and mislabelling of product and category 3 animal byproducts. The Belgian Food Agency - FASFC has issued a press release - and the RASFF notification can be found here. Seven countries affected in the recall so far including the UK - comes hot on the heels of fipronil and recalls continue for fipronil in egg based products.
