Baketime Ltd. Recalls Belmont Biscuits Ginger Nuts Sold By Aldi Due to Possible Hygiene Issues

Baketime Ltd. is recalling on a precautionary basis the above six batches of ginger nuts, produced for Aldi, as they have been manufactured in unhygienic conditions. Point-of-sale notices should be displayed in stores where the affected batches were sold requesting customers who have bought these batches to return them to an Aldi store. Freshology, Inc., a Burbank, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 111 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken salad products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced. The ranch salad dressing included with the product contains egg, a known allergen, which is not declared on the finished product label.

San Antonio, Texas – H-E-B is voluntarily recalling 224 cases (10,752 cans) of Hill Country Fare brand 5 oz. Chunk Light Tuna in Oil. This recall has been initiated because the product, produced at a co-packer, may have been undercooked due to an equipment malfunction, which was uncovered during a routine inspection.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has identified that Wholefoods Wholesale Ltd. is recalling Rainbow Organic, Organic Apricots Kernals Bitter as there are no directions for use provided on its label. Due to the potential acute and long term toxic effects associated with cyanide, the FSAI advises that consumption of apricot kernels should not exceed 1-2 per adult per day, as doses above this could cause an acute health risk. Food Standards Authority of Ireland have notified that as a precautionary measure, Tesco Ireland is recalling all batches of its Roast Garlic & Herb Butter, 100g, and two varieties of its flavoured butter discs that are offered to customers at the fresh meat and fish counters. Listeria monocytogenes was detected in the production factory and therefore, there is the potential for contamination of the flavoured butters.
