FSIS and FDA recalls this week

Chetak New York L.L.C. of Edison, NJ is recalling 300 jars of 14.1 oz "Deep Coriander Powder", Lot# LE15152, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

Givaudan Flavors Corporation, a Florence, Ky., establishment, is recalling approximately 3,950 pounds of beef tallow products produced in Australia that were not presented at the U.S. point of entry for inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced. Without the benefit of full inspection, a possibility of adverse health consequences exists.

Pleasant House Bakery, LLC, a Chicago, Ill. establishment, is recalling an undetermined amount of steak and chicken pie products distributed without the benefit of inspection. These products were also missing the ingredient statement and contained undeclared allergens, including eggs, milk, and wheat, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.
