Undeclared egg in certain Chocolat Jean-Talon brand Hollow Milk Flavoured Confections
The public warning issued on May 2, 2013 has been updated to include additional distribution information.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Chocolat Jean-Talon Chocolate Inc. are warning people with allergies to egg not to consume the Chocolat Jean-Talon brand Hollow Milk Flavoured Confection products described below. The affected products contain egg which is not properly declared on the label.
These products have been distributed in Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec. These products may also have been distributed to other provinces.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to egg.
