Final result from UK-wide beef survey confirmed

The FSA has received confirmation of the final result for the remaining sample taken as part of the Agency’s UK-wide sampling programme of beef products. The product had been withdrawn from sale following an initial test. It has now been confirmed that the product does not contain horse DNA at or above the 1% reporting threshold. There are no further results to report from the FSA's own survey. The next report from the food industry is due to be published in June. A full list of all products confirmed as containing horse meat can be found on the website.
