Aldi withdraws beef products due to horse meat
Aldi has withdrawn two beef products tonight after its tests found horse meat in samples; the Food Standards Agency has issued advice to other retailers or producers that have sourced beef products from the French company Comigel.

Today’s Special Frozen Beef Lasagne
Today’s Special Frozen Spaghetti Bolognese from its stores as a precautionary measure.
Aldi said that its tests demonstrated that the withdrawn products contained between 30% and 100% horse meat. The products implicated are from French supplier, Comigel, the company that also supplied Findus. Aldi is advising anyone who has bought any of these products to return them to their nearest Aldi store for a full refund. Their helpline number is 0800 634 704. In light of the latest information from Aldi, the Food Standards Agency recommends that any retailers or producers that have sourced beef products from the French company Comigel should conduct a precautionary withdrawal of product. The FSA is working with the French authorities and will provide further advice and information next week.
