Watson’s Wholesale Meats and Savouries Ltd has produced bacon ribs and cooked pig stomachs in unapproved premises under unsatisfactory hygiene conditions.
Due to the nature of the activities at the unapproved establishment, it has not been possible to obtain full distribution details or product traceability records for products supplied from the establishment. There is known distribution to some retail establishments in the north west of England, however, it is possible that there may be distribution to other establishments.

Action to be taken by local authorities
As the above products were processed in an unapproved establishment, they do not comply with the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 853/2004 which lays down the specific hygiene rules for food of animal original and they fail to comply with the Food Hygiene Regulations 2006.
