Risk: Various date codes of the above products have been found to contain nuts and/or milk which are not declared on the ingredients list. This makes these products a health risk for people who are allergic to nuts or allergic and/or intolerant to milk or milk constituents.
Product identification: Truly Irresistible Fairtrade Peruvian Creamy Milk Chocolate, 100g Truly Irresistible Fairtrade Peruvian Dark Chocolate with Dried Sweetened Cranberries, 100g Truly Irresistible Peruvian Dark Chocolate with Hazelnuts, 100g 'Best before': All codes up to and including 09/03/13.
Action taken by the company: The company is recalling the implicated batches from sale. Customer notices will be displayed in stores to alert consumers to the reasons for the recall and the actions they can take if they have purchased the products. A copy of the customer notice issued by The Co-operative is attached to this alert. In addition, the company will be contacting the relevant allergy support organisations who will inform their at risk members of the recall. No other Co-operative products are known to be affected.
