JKS Wholesale SVCS, Allergy Alert On Undeclared Milk Allergens In "Torta de Pan" Date Code 02/15/2012
JKS Wholesale SVCS INC, of Beltsville, MD is recalling its 16 oz. packages of “Torta de Pan” because they may contain undeclared milk allergens. People who have allergies to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The product was package in a 16 ounce, clear plastic bag and was distributed to supermarkets and delis in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey and New York.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
The recall was initiated after a State of New York Department of Agriculture and Markets laboratory analysis revealed that the product was found to contain undeclared milk allergens.
JKS Wholesale SVCS, has worked with the bakery to correct the label but out of an abundance of caution we are advising consumers who purchased the “Torta de Pan” with date codes 02/15/12 and before that the product does not declare milk.
