U.B.C Food Distributors Recalls “Baraka Apricot Candies” due to undeclared Sulfites/Preservatives. U.B.C Food Distributors of Dearborn, MI is recalling 14.08 ounce (400g) cellophane wrapped, product of Lebanon “Baraka Apricot Candies” food treats because they were found to contain undeclared sulfites as preservatives. People who have sensitivities to sulfites run the risk of serious life-threatening reaction if they consume this product. The recalled “Baraka Apricot Candies” Net Wt. 14.08 oz (400g), product of Lebanon, were distributed nationwide to retail stores. The product comes in a Net Wt. 14.08 oz (400g), cellophane package with an expiration date of 5/2013 printed on the front panel. UPC 822514223719. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
