Bleiker's Smokehouse recalls one small batch of smoked salmon due to the presence of listeria monocytogenes in one pack

Bleiker’s Smokehouse Ltd is recalling one small batch (25 cases) of Bleiker’s Traditional Oak Smoked Scottish Salmon due to high levels of Listeria monocytogenes found in one retail pack.

Product Details: Bleiker’s Traditional Oak Smoked Scottish Salmon, batch number 55x Use by date: 23 November 2011.

Action taken by the company: The company is recalling this small batch from consumers as a precautionary measure. The small batch was distributed to no more than 25 retail stores in total across the Budgens, Nisa Todays and Londis chains. Recall notices have been issued explaining the reason for recall and the actions consumers can take if they have bought the affected product. A copy of the product recall notice can be viewed via the link below. No other Bleiker's Smokehouse Ltd products are known to be affected. Routine testing has been conducted on other batches.
