UNDECLARED SULPHITES IN MAPLE SMELL BRAND DRIED SWEET POTATO

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Summer Star Trading Co. Ltd. are warning people with sensitivity to sulphites not to consume the Maple Smell brand Dried Sweet Potato described below. The affected product contains sulphites which are not declared on the label. The Maple Smell brand Dried Sweet Potato, product of China, is sold in 400 g packages bearing UPC 6 930992 401032 and Lot code 4.01.0.3.2.00.4. This product has been distributed in Ontario. There has been one reported allergic reaction associated with the consumption of this product.
