CERTAIN PRIMERIDGE PURE BRAND PURE CHEESE CURDS MAY CONTAIN LISTERIA MONOCYTOGENES

The public warning issued on July 24, 2011 has been expanded to include an additional lot code of the affected product. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Primeridge Pure are warning the public not to consume the Primeridge Pure brand Pure Cheese Curds described below because the product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The affected product, Primeridge Pure brand Pure Cheese Curds, bearing "Packed on 15.07.11" was sold in packages of various weights around 0.25 kg and around 0.5 kg. This product was sold at Owen Sound Farmers' Market, Collingwood Farmers' Market and the company's own location in Ontario on July 16, 2011.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
