Food safety is a given, when a consumer purchases food they expect it to be safe and fit to eat. The responsibility for ensuring food is safe to eat rests with the farmer (sometimes called the primary producer), the manufacturer or processor (if the food is prepared in a factory), the distributor and wholesaler (the people responsible for transfering the food from the manufacturer to the shop or to the door in the case of direct sales or mail order), the retailer and the consumer themselves.

Asda recalls Fresh Tastes Pouch Haddock
Asda is recalling some of its Fresh Tastes Pouch Haddock, as it has been packed incorrectly, affecting part of one batch code. The pouch may contain a chicken and bacon product which contains mustard in the sauce. This makes the product a potential health risk for people who are allergic or sensitive to mustard. The Agency has issued an Allergy Alert.
Inghams Enterprises Pty Ltd — Ingham's Turkey Breast Roast 1kg The recall is due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (milk). This is due to incorrect packaging (Turkey Thigh Roast was packaged incorrectly in Turkey Breast Roast packaging).
