Lamond bakery products withdrawn in Scotland

Lamond the Baker is withdrawing three products in Scotland from the Co-operative and Scotmid co-operative stores, because they contain egg, which is not mentioned in the allergy advice box. This means the products are a possible health risk to anyone who is allergic or intolerant to egg. The Food Standards Agency has issued an Allergy Alert. Anyone who is allergic or intolerant to egg is advised not to eat this product.

Product details: The affected products, with best before dates between 8 and 12 August 2011, are:
Lamond Perkin Biscuit (pack of 10)
Lamond Coffee Bun (pack of 8)
Lamond Banbury Biscuit (pack of 10)
Lamond has withdrawn the affected products and notices will let consumers know about the recall. If you have bought an affected product you can contact Lamond Bakers on 01563 523 178. The relevant allergy support organisations have also been contacted, which will inform their members of the recall. Only products supplied specifically to the Co-operative and Scotmid co-operative stores in Scotland are being recalled. No other Lamond the Baker products are known to be affected.
