Rich Products Corporation announces nationwide voluntary recall of Sonny’s Barbecue Deep Deveined Shrimp

The US FDA has issued a press release to confirm that Rich Products Corporation is voluntarily recalling Sonny’s Barbecue Deep Deveined Shrimp (product code 80692) on January 13, 2011, because the product was found to have undeclared milk ingredient (whey) in the coating of the shrimp (less than .1%). People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

Rich Products Corporation has not received any reports of illness connected with this product and has issued this voluntary recall as a precautionary measure.
