UNDECLARED PEANUTS IN CERTAIN MISPACKED QUAKER BRAND CHEWY GRANOLA BARS VALUE PACKS SOLD AT CANADA SAFEWAY

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Canada Safeway Limited are warning people with allergies to peanuts not to consume certain Quaker brand Chewy Granola Bars Value Packs described below.
The affected product, Quaker brand Chewy Granola Bars Value Pack, 14 bars, 364 g, bears UPC 0 55577 10742 3. All lot codes are affected by this alert. These Quaker brand Chewy Granola Bars Value packs may contain Quaker brand Dipps granola bars that contain peanuts. The individual granola bars within these value packs are correctly labelled and declare peanuts, where present. The affected Quaker brand Chewy Granola Bars Value Packs which were previously recalled on November 24, 2010, may have been distributed, after the original recall, throughout Canada Safeway retails stores located in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. There has been one reported reaction associated with the consumption of this product.
