HAM AND CHEESE SANDWICH PREPARED BY APFL, PEI MAY CONTAIN LISTERIA MONOCYTOGENES

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Atlantic Prepared Food Limited (APFL, Establishment number 514) are warning the public not to consume Ham and Cheese Sandwich described below because this may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The affected Ham and Cheese Sandwich was packaged in a 185 g package bearing Best Before 10 DE 06; UPC 0 55742 98002 8 and a legend with an establishment number 514. This product is sold in two types of packages. One type is a clear package, the other includes a cardboard sleeve with the caption "Sub Delicious". The size, best before date, UPC and the establishment number that appear on both types of packages can assist consumers identify the affected product. This product is known to have been distributed in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia and may have been distributed in other Atlantic provinces. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
