Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., Inc. Announces Limited Voluntary Cantaloupe Recall In And Around Detroit, Michigan

The US FDA has issued a press release to confirm that Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., Inc ("Del Monte Fresh") has announced the voluntary recall of certain cantaloupes grown in and shipped from Arizona. The affected product was distributed to limited customers in and around Detroit, Michigan and is being recalled because these cantaloupes have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. In 2008 and again in 2009, there were major recalls of cantaloupe melons for Salmonella.
