Ada's smoked catfish fillet labelled with non approved identification mark

The UK FSA has issued a food alert to confirm that a smoked catfish product has been found on sale labelled with an identification mark that has been withdrawn by the issuing authority. There is strong evidence that the product being sold is not that of residual stock produced prior to the withdrawal of the identification mark. Despite enquiries by investigating officers in the London area, where product was found on sale, it has not been possible to obtain details of the source of this product, distribution details or product traceability records. The product has mainly been found on sale in small, independent stores.
