Red Lotus Bakery Issues Allergy Alert On Undeclared Eggs In "Butter Cup Cakes"

The US FDA has issued a press release to confirm that Red lotus bakery, is recalling its 12 ounce packages of Butter Cup Cakes because they may contain undeclared eggs. Consumers who are allergic to eggs may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product. The recall was initiated after routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors and subsequent analysis by food laboratory personnel revealed the presence of eggs in the 12 ounce packages of "Butter Cup Cake" which did not declare an egg ingredient on the label. No illnesses or allergic reactions involing this product have been reported to date.
