Bragan Spring Water recall due to the presence of enterococci

The FSAI has issued a food alert to confirm that as a precautionary measure, Bragan Spring Water Company Limited, Carrickmoe, Emyvale, Co. Monaghan is initiating a recall of Bragan Spring Water 1 litre bottles with a best before date of December 2012, due to the presence of enterococci. This is an indicator of faecal contamination and renders the water unsafe and in breach of microbiological criteria for bottled spring water. No other products are affected by this recall.
