LE BELLE DE JERSEY CHEESE MAY CONTAIN LISTERIA MONOCYTOGENES
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning the public not to consume Le Belle de Jersey cheese because the product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The affected cheese, Le Belle de Jersey, was sold in variable weights at various retail locations in Quebec from July 16 to August 13, and in Ontario from July 27 to August 17, 2010. If the original product identity is not evident, consumers are advised to check with their retailer to determine if they have affected product. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
