CERTAIN LA NUESTRA BRAND FROZEN MAMEY PULP MAY CONTAIN SALMONELLA BACTERIA

Following the previous US FDA press release the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning consumers not to consume La Nuestra Mamey Pulp described below as it may be contaminated with Salmonella. The affected product, La Nuestra brand Mamey Pulp, product of Guatemala, was sold frozen in 14 oz. packages bearing UPC 7 56869 10008 4. All lot codes are affected by this alert. This product is known to have been distributed in Alberta; however, it may also have been distributed nationally. There have been no reported illnesses in Canada associated with the consumption of this product.
