NESCAFÉ BRAND ESPRESSO INSTANT COFFEE MAY CONTAIN GLASS FRAGMENTS

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Nestlé Canada are warning the public not to consume the Nescafé brand Espresso instant coffee described below because the product may contain small fragments of glass. The affected product, Nescafé Espresso instant coffee, imported from France, is sold in 100 g glass jars with a black sleeve bearing UPC 5500065052. All lot codes are affected by this alert. This product has been distributed nationally. There have no reported injuries associated with the consumption of this product.

The UK Food Standards Agency has also issued an alert to make the public aware that Nestlé is recalling its Nescafé Collections range coffee 100g jars only as they may contain small pieces of glass. The implicated products are being recalled.  The products recalled are:Nescafé Alta Rica,Nescafé Alta Rica Decaff, Nescafé Cap Colombie, Nescafé Suraya, Nescafé Espresso - Jar size: Only the 100g jars of the above products are potentially affected. All best before date codes. All batch codes. No other Nestlé or Nescafé products are known to be affected

The FSAI has also issued an alert.
