Premier Foods Group recalls certain batch codes of Loyd Grossman Tomato and Chilli Pasta sauce due to possible contamination with pieces of glass

The UK FSA has issued a food alert as follows:

"Heads of Environmental Health and Directors of Trading Standards will wish to be aware that the Premier Foods Group is recalling certain batch codes of Loyd Grossman Tomato and Chilli pasta sauce due to possible contamination with pieces of glass. Product recall notices will appear in national press as of tomorrow, Saturday 27 February. These notices alert customers to the recall and advise them of what actions to take if they have purchased the product. A copy of the product recall notice can be downloaded from the link below. Those stores that stock the affected product will be advised to display point of sale notices.
The product recalled is:
Loyd Grossman Tomato and Chilli pasta sauce 350g
Batch codes: 9316 and 9317
Best Before End: May 2011
Packaging: 350g glass jar

No other Loyd Grossman products are known to be affected."

The FSAI has also issued a food alert for this product.
