Recall of Tesco Milk Chocolate covered Raisins as some bags may contain peanuts

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has been informed by Tesco that it is recalling Tesco Milk Chocolate covered Raisins due to the possibility that some bags may contain milk chocolate covered peanuts. Point of sale notices have been placed in retail stores.

The UK FSA has also issued an allergy alert for the same product and state that due to a packaging error the product contains peanuts, which is not an intended ingredient. As a result the presence of peanuts is not declared on the label. Therefore, this is a potential health risk for individuals who are allergic to peanuts.
