Pennsylvania Firm Recalls Cream of Mushroom Soup Product Due to Mislabeling and an Undeclared Allergen

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service has announced that Bay Valley Foods, LLC, a Pittsburgh, Pa. establishment, is recalling approximately 20,286 pounds of canned cream of mushroom soup because it was inadvertently mislabeled and may contain an undeclared allergen, egg. Egg is a known potential allergen, which is not declared on the label.
