OCEAN MIST BRAND GREEN ONIONS MAY CONTAIN SALMONELLA BACTERIA
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and The Grocery People are warning the public not to consume Ocean Mist brand Green Onions described below because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.
The affected product, Ocean Mist brand Fresh Picked Green Onions, was sold in 5.5 oz. plastic bags bearing a sticker with "95ONCP7G BEST BY 083109" and UPC 33383 60503, between August 15 and September 3, 2009.
This product has been distributed in Manitoba, however, it may also have been distributed in Ontario, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
