Listeria monocytogenes in Rhyme Baked Sliced Ham

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has been notified of the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in 1 kg gas flush packs of sliced baked ham manufactured by Farney Foods, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan (Approval number IE 2315). The implicated batch with use by date of 21/09/09, was distributed to food business operators in Ireland and Northern Ireland by Pallas Foods between 5th and 7th September. Pallas Foods have contacted all their customers, who are mainly catering outlets, to request the implicated batch be immediately removed from sale and returned.
