CERTAIN READY-TO-EAT DELI MEATS MAY CONTAIN LISTERIA MONOCYTOGENES
The CFIA has issued an expanded recall following the public warning issued on August 25, 2009 which has now been expanded to include additional products.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Delstar Foods Inc. are warning the public not to consume the sliced ready-to-eat deli meats described in the alert because these products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The sliced ready-to-eat deli meats bearing Establishment number 308 and a Best Before date between 09AU26 (August 26, 2009) and 09OC01 (October 1, 2009), inclusive, are affected by this alert.
