Hy-Vee Inc. Recalls Mislabeled Salad Dressing

The FDA has issued a product recall press release to confirm that Hy-Vee Inc. is voluntarily recalling some 12-oz. bottles of Hy-Vee HealthMarket Organic Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing. The bottles are mislabeled and actually contain Hy-Vee HealthMarket Organic Sesame Ginger Dressing. As a result of the mislabeling, the potential exists for undisclosed ingredients that may affect allergens.

Customers who purchased Hy-Vee HealthMarket Organic Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing coded “E3 Sell by Sep. 30 10” are encouraged to return the product for a full refund.
Fewer than 100 bottles were shipped to Hy-Vee stores before the error was discovered. The majority of inventory was still on shelves and has since been removed. The private label dressing is bottled by Chelten House Products Inc. in Bridgeport, N.J., where the mislabeling occurred. Check out the link
