Frozen pie products recalled due to possible plastic contamination

The UK FSA has issued a food alert to confirm that specific batches of various brand frozen pie products have been recalled due to possible contamination with small pieces of white plastic. The alert states that:

"The public will wish to be aware that certain batches of the various brands of frozen pie products listed below have been recalled due to possible contamination with small pieces of white plastic on top of the products.

The implicated products mentioned below are being recalled. Product recall notices will appear in stores. These notices will alert customers to the recall and advise them of what actions to take if they have purchased the product(s).

No other HJ Heinz or retailer own-brand products are known to be affected".
