A batch of Rotstern Crispy Rounds Confectionery has been found to contain peanut protein which is not declared on the label

The UK FSA has issued an allergy alert to confirm that a batch of Rotstern Crispy Rounds Confectionery has been found to contain peanut protein which is not declared on the label. This makes the product a health risk for people who are allergic to peanuts.

The product has been manufactured in Germany and imported into the UK by Tiger Retail Ltd. The Agency is aware that the product has been sold in Tiger stores who have voluntarily withdrawn the affected date code of this product. The Agency is currently investigating with Germany the possibility of further distribution within the UK and any actions they intend to take with regards to this product. In addition, Tiger Retail Ltd has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations who will inform their at-risk members of the withdrawal.
