Cheese may contain Listeria

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Portuguese Cheese Co. are warning the public not to consume St. John’s Brand Fresh Cheese described below because the product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The affected product, St. John's Brand Fresh Cheese, is sold in a 500 g package bearing UPC 0 68168 00071 3, lot code 147 and Best Before date 09MR09 (March 9, 2009). The affected product has been distributed in Ontario. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
