Salmon may be contaminated with Listeria

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Kanata Smoke House are warning the public not to consume the Kanata Smoke House brand Smoked Atlantic Salmon described below because the product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The affected product, Kanata Smoke House brand Smoked Atlantic Salmon, was sold in 500g packages, bearing UPC 8 19269 00350 5 and Product code 3001 Best Before 2009 FE 27.

The affected packages were sold from Costco stores in Quebec.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
