Peanut butter recall shows no sign of ending
There have been a continuing flurry of peanut butter recalls - twenty in the last few days. There are also new cases of illness being identified by the authorities - the scope of this incident is quite incredible. The number of recalled products has now reached 2,600. One of the concerns is that the shelf-life of some of the peanut-butter related products is very long so the products may remain in circulation for some time.
The latest released case count is 666 cases with possibly nine related deaths - a sobering statistic indeed.
