Energy bar recalled due to Salmonella
The UK Food Standards Agency has issued a food alert to confirm that Clif Bar & Company (based in Berkeley, USA) has recalled certain batch and date codes of their Clif Crunchy Peanut Butter flavour energy bar 68g and Luna Nutz Over Chocolate flavour energy bar 48g, due to the possible presence of Salmonella Typhimurium.
The Agency has been informed that, on a precautionary basis, Clif Bar & Company has recalled the affected products as they may contain peanut products manufactured by Peanut Corporation of America. The affected products have been withdrawn from sale in shops in the UK. Consumers who still have the affected product may bring it back to the retail location where they purchased the product and it will be replaced with products which are not affected by the recall. Consumers can visit the Clif Bar & Company website for more information and view images of the affected products at the links below.
