Salmonella Agona again

A few days ago I wrote an update on the Salmonella Agona incident, and Eurosurveillance has now written an indepth report which is worth a read. The outbreak has caused illness in Finland, the UK and Ireland. The FSAI has also issued an update on further consumer products that could be affected.

The UK FSA has issued a food alert with regard to
the food recall by Dawn Farm Foods Ltd. The cooked bacon supplied by Dawn Farm Foods was used by the Kerry Group in the manufacture of three own-brand sandwich fillers. Follow the link for more details. They have also issued a second update on the salmonella outbreak.
