Further listeria recalls announced by the CFIA
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued four further health hazard alerts for Listeria monocytogenes: Shopsy's deli-fresh Classic Reuben sandwich; Safeway brand and TakeAwayCafé brand sandwiches; Recall of all products from Establishment 97B; and a detailed news release.
The news release identifies that "To date, 21 cases of listeriosis have been confirmed, and the same strain has been detected in four people who have died. A further 30 cases remain under investigation".
